[...] About a week ago, Karina Longworth twittered about how Twitter got her a freelance writing gig. I became immediately intrigued and started to think through the potential of the site. I started twittering a couple links to MODE just to see how it would work. I haven’t seen much response, but then something happened. Someone linked to me, rather, became my “friend”, another complete stranger. Well now I wasn’t just twittering for me, I had an audience of one. So I started twittering more often. Then I got hooked. Now I can’t stop. I wouldn’t say I’m addicted, but I am finding myself on there a lot more often. The downside? It’s killing a bit of my productivity not just from posting, but also watching others post. Between Scoble, Calcanis and Vader, I’ll never get any work done. [...]

Ah, good call! As you know, NewTeeVee just classed itself up with a slicker design. Glad to see it's shedding the trade-magazine feel that it began with.

Well, I'll bite. How exactly did you get the job through Twitter. I've been riding the fence on Twitter for awhile now, but I'd be interested to know more about this story.
